It has been about a week since I have posted so I figured it was about time to update everyone with what has been going on.
We had a wonderful Easter my Mom came down for the week and took good care of us. She cooked food and organized the house; she's nesting more than we are! The weather here has been beautiful and we got an outdoor dining table and chairs so we can enjoy our backyard through the spring and summer.
While all these good things were happening there was also some sad and worrisome things happening.
1. During the NT Scan on the 14th they found another bleed. The Dr. had felt that this one would not be reabsorbed and that I would naturally pass it. Well I did for 6 days. I called the Dr.s office and they did not seem as concerned as I was/am. We have our next appointment next week and I am really looking forward to hearing that heartbeat again.
2. This probably deserves it's own post but I am just going to include it here. Our family pet goldfish Pescado passed away on Monday. He was a few months shy of his 7th birthday. I can confidently say that he was likely the lone survivor of the 2001 Del Mar Fair. I still remember Julie pointing him out because he was so active and we took him home.
He was more than a fish and my brother Kevin was sure that he was a dog. He would know when people entered the room and would know when you picked up his food container. He loved to get a mouth full of gravel and spit it out into Spongebob's net.
He had not been his normal active self the last few weeks and I suspected that something was wrong. He stopped eating and was more skittish when people approached his tank. He was such a special part of our family and deserved more than a flush so he got a proper burial in the backyard.
