Last week we did our NT Scan which checks for Downs Syndrome and Trisomy 13 &18. We got the results today and it looks right now we have a healthy baby. Of course there is still a blood screen to do to check for other genetic issues.
Based on age and family history we had a 1:400 risk of Downs. The results indicate that we now have a 1:3245 chance.
Based on age and family history we had a 1:765 risk of Trisomy 13 & 18. Based on the scan and the blood our risk is now 1:10,000.
The genetic counselor said I have gone from having the risk of a 33 year old, down to the numbers of a 20 year old!
