Shopping for Girls

Well we have had a few days to digest the fact that we are having a girl. As most of you know the Doctor predicted about 9 weeks ago that we would be having a little boy. As much as Craig said he didn't care and just wanted healthy, when he heard girl it was obvious that he had been thinking baseball and bugs for 9 weeks.

When the ultrasound was over and the goop wiped off my belly I asked Craig what he was thinking. His words, "I have to pay for a wedding." It looks like Craig will now be looking into a dual college/wedding savings plan.

After the ultrasound I dragged Craig all over the mall (he's a good sport) and we bought our little one a few outfits. Being the protective Dad Craig did not want pink because pink is in the red family. And all of you who know Craig know that Red is bad (think Stanford). Also Craig feels that too much pink will lead her to be too prissy and he does not want that.

He got into the spirit of shopping and actually picked out a few shirts and outfits that fit his criteria. I think now he is looking for someone to give him a crash course on everything princess, pony, and the rules for tea party.

Right before our wedding my good friend Chris had her first baby, Parker. Every few weeks I would get an email with the pictures of all the outfits that she had got her. I never understood the need to photograph baby clothes until now. The other day Craig came home and noticed that I had laid all the clothes out on the bed in the guest room. He immediately asked, "Did you take a picture of them?" "No, but I really want to!" Anyway it is okay for the clothes to be there because that is her bedroom and I am just putting her clothes away (crazy pregnant lady rationalization). So basically do not be surprised if there is a photo fashion show up soon.

Since Thursday I have been feeling the little gal quite often. She is definitely stirring in there and she has been quite active today. She does not seem to react to outside noises or us talking to her but she does get very active after eating.
