Symptoms & Cheese on Toast!

Well I should have never complained/bragged about not having pregnancy symptoms. The Nausea is here and present for most of the day. For most of the pregnancy I have not wanted meat but now it is totally a horrible thought. I have to turn the channel when Subway commercials come on.

Pretty much I eat beans, toast, cheese, crackers, and Sprite. I do manage to get some more fruits and veggies in, but I really have not been eating that much. Craig has been wonderful attending to my crazy requests and doing chores around the house. I am not sure what I will do while he is away on his trans-atlantic business trip.

If you did not grow up in an English house you may not have experienced the joys of cheese on toast. Here is a simple dish that right now is going to get me through the next 8 months.

Turn on the broiler.
Get your favorite bread (mine is sourdough) and your favorite cheese (extra sharp cheddar)
Put the cheese on the bread and put under the broiler. Don't walk away because it will cook fast! It's done when the cheese is bubbly and a little brown on top. The top is crunchy and the bottom of the bread gets steamed and it is warm and soft. Some people put tomatoes on top to make is healthier but I am a cheese on toast purest; no tomato!
