Last night we told Craig's parents. Craig was very creative and made his parents a card written from the perspective of the baby. He put a picture from the ultrasound in it and some details about when the baby is supposed to come. He signed the card GBTBNL (grand baby to be named later). Well I think all his Mom saw was Hi Grandma and Grandpa and the picture before she was over hugging us. His Dad read the entire card before the hugs but they were both very excited.
It was emotional for Craig and me to watch them open the card. I was sure that I was going to break down in tears because I knew what life changing and amazing information was in the card. Being able to see their reaction was so powerful.
After the announcement Craig's Dad began telling Craig that his life will never be the same again and that every choice that he makes from now on will involve the baby. I think I may have been able to see the beads of sweat begin to form on his face while he was listening to his Dad.
After the announcement we headed off to the San Diego State Basketball game where they beat BYU in a VERY exciting and entertaining game.
